Dominykas Čečkauskas
Founder of Platforma, political activist, street artist | Vilnius [LT]
Dominykas is one of the founders of Platforma - the first free-urban-culture-center in Vilnius, Lithuania. The project has been working as a safespace for different social groups including subcultures and LGBTQ+ community as well as an incubator for urban and nightlife culture initiatives. The cultural center has been strongly involved in political activism and has recently been closed down by the government following multiple clashes with the police and a massive protest rave that has unified most of the Lithuanian club and festival scene after years of abusive policies. Following his studies of political history at Sorbonne University in Paris Dominykas has returned to Vilnius and ever since has been involved with political street art and activism projects.
