Dimitri Hegemann, born 1954 in a village in Westfalia is one of the founders of the legendary Tresor. In the 1980s he moved to Berlin to study Musicology and became a space explorer. 1988 he opened the acid house club UFO, his successor Tresor became the birthplace of the biggest movement of the last century – Techno. Dimitri Hegemann wurde 1954 in einem Dorf in Westfalen geboren. Da er in den ländlichen Strukturen nicht die Möglichkeit hatte, seine Vorstellungen von einem alternativen Leben zu realisieren, zog er nach Berlin, um dort sein Glück zu finden. Dazu gehören das „Atonal Festival“, das er erstmal in den 1980ern organisierte und das heute im ebenfalls von ihm betriebenen „Kraftwerk“ zu den interessantesten Festivals für avantgardistische Musik Berlins gehört, die Gründung und Neuerfindung des „Tresors“ sowie zahlreiche Projekte an der Schnittstelle zwischen Musik, Clubkultur, Gesellschaft, Politik und Kunst. Über die vielen „Glücksmomente“ seines reichen Lebens, aber auch über die Umwege, die Irrungen und Wirrungen dorthin, möchte uns Dimitri Hegemann erzählen.
